Remarks & Notes
The 100th Anniversary of the BMT! On June 15, 2023, The New York Transit Museum and Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA NYCT Subway celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit Company (BMT) assuming control of the bankrupt Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company (BRT) on June 15, 1923. The museum's operating set of AB Standards (2390/2391/2392) was brought out on the F/Culver Line for the public to ride and photograph between Kings Highway and 18th Avenue stations, with the R9 train kept as a protect set. At the end of the day, the employees from Service Delivery and Car Equipment that staffed the event car together for a photo. Thanks to all who participated and supported the event!
