Remarks & Notes
Transit Amongst Trolleys. Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) 01100 series cars 01179 and 01178 (Pullman-Standard, 1958) are seen outside the Highwood Carhouse at the Seashore Trolley Museum. These cars were retired from service in 1981 with the arrival of the Hawker Siddeley cars, which are now entering retirement after serving much longer than intended! While the museum has a pair of Hawker Siddeley Blue Line cars as well as these, as of yet the MBTA has not made public any plans to donate any of the Orange Line cars.
