Photo by Howard Hutchison from my collection. Superior WV is approximately three miles east of Welch WV on the N&W Pocahontas Division. The railroad calls this Huger in the timetable. N&W Y3a 2060 has been switching hopper cars for the coal tipple here at Superior and is now backing west on main-1. There is a middle siding here that holds loaded hopper cars for later pickup. This was a favorite location for my Dad to bring me and my brother to watch trains.
