Remarks & Notes |
PURCELL OK Jan 29 1978 — Santa Fe GP7 2837 and Track Geometry Scientific Testing Car 85 await the return of their crews. EMD built the unit in December 1952 and delivered it in zebra stripe paint and without dynamic brakes. At an unknown date before the GP7u rebuild program it was repainted to blue body with yellow warbonnet. In March 1981 The Cleburne (TX) shops rebuilt the unit as GP7u 2231 with a low short hood, an angled Topeka cab and an air conditioner on the cab roof. It retained the blue body with yellow warbonnet livery. On September 22 1995 it was lettered BNSF 1370 with a BNSF patch on the cab. In December 2005 it was built to GG20B 1211 using the main frame and underbody parts. In June 2008 it was rebuilt to RP14BD 1211. My photo. |
