Remarks & Notes
Six-Track Signal Bridge. Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) M7 no. 7603 (Bombardier, 1999-2006) is the lead unit on westbound Port Washington Branch train 359 seen racing through the Queens neighborhoods of Elmhurst and Maspeth. The right-of-way here is six tracks wide: four Main Line tracks and two Port Washington Branch tracks, which will diverge just around the corner. Interestingly the signal bridge here has three Pennsy-style position lights for eastbound moves, and six tri-light signals for westbound moves.
