A 120 car coal train for the XCEL Colorado Energy Commanche Plant (Pueblo, CO) grinds up the grade of Greenland as it passes the famous red barn of Greenland. During the early morning hours of May 11, 2023, lightning struck the red barn and burned it to the ground. Build in 1922, the barn was build after the original red barn burned to the ground; due to a lightning strike. This was my last photo of the the Red Barn.
