Remarks & Notes
Engineer's desk in the small, elevated cab of the ETR (elettotreno rapido)# 252 "Arlecchino" of the Fondazione FS Italiane, in Roma Termini before the departure as TS 96115 via Napoli-Salerno-Battipaglia-Potenza-Metaponto-Taranto to Bari Centrale. The train, built in 1960 by Breda for the Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) was completely renovated by the Fondazione FS Italiane and fitted with the SCMT train protection system. The maximum velocity was 160 km/h when built, increased to 180 km/h in 1970 and is now 160 km/h again since the renovation, measured by the Hasler speedometer made in Switzerland.
