| BN 2016 retains its GN appearance in North La Crosse, WI in August 1972. The short hood is the rear of this unit and the GP20s were the final long hood front and high nose road switchers GN acquired. Built in May 1960 as part of the first of two GN GP20 orders, it featured a bell over the head light on the long hood. The second batch had the bell located behind the cab, similar to SP locomotives built in the same era. BN 2016 was retired 8/26/86 and sold to Indiana Hi-Rail 1/19/87. |
