Remarks & Notes
Triple Six. New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R62A no. 1920 (Bombardier, 1984-1987) is the lead motor on a Manhattan-bound 6 train seen approaching Parkchester Station on the IRT Pelham Line. During afternoon peak periods, 6 service is split into local and express services, the former making all stops from 3rd Ave-138th St Station to Parkchester, terminating there, and the latter making express stops from 3rd Ave-138th St to Parkchester and continuing local from there to Pelham Bay Park. The train seen on the middle track here is a local train waiting for the service from Pelham Bay Park to pass before reentering service towards Manhattan.
