| BN SD45 6534 built in August 1971 is paired up with former GN SD45, BN 6454. Note that 6534 has NP style side windows on the cab (ala GE) as well as extended range dynamic brakes which became the norm on SD40-2s when they were introduced in 1972. This unit went to WC in August 1986. BN 6454 was built in July 1968 as GN 424, returned to Lessor in 12/83 and sold to C&NW as CNW 6573. It was rebuilt as an SD40M-2 and became WAMX 4237 and could still be in service. |
