A DW&P transfer from Pokegama Yard has reached the connection to C&NW at South Itasca after traversing Missabe's Interstate Branch which ran from here to Adolph, MN. DWP 5908 and other SD40s & GP38-2s have replaced older Also RS-11s at this point, and traffic increases have brought more CN power onto the railroad as well.The Interstate Branch is now a critical piece of CN's mainline to Chicago.
