A quintet of UP GP38-2s lead by UP 2049 idle the night away at the Argo Yard engine facility in Seattle in the company of a couple NW2s and a few cabooses. In the mid 1970s the slogan "Dependable Transportation" was being replaced by "We Can Handle It", part of a relatively short lived PR campaign. By the later 70s no slogan, just the UP herald on the cab sides.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
