Remarks & Notes |
A Chicago bound coal train works east on the Creston Sub. The train rolls out of McPherson and onto a short 4.2 mile section of single track before Red Oak. The Creston has alot of double and single track sections that bounce back forth ever 5-10 miles. Some of the single track sections are where the railroad has to cross rivers or creeks, as is the case with these 4.2 miles where the railroad crosses Walnut Creek here, and East Nishnabotna River near Red Oak. |
