South to the Ferry. New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R62A no. 2281 (Bombardier, 1984-1987) is the lead motor on a downtown 1 train that just arrived at South Ferry Station on the Broadway-7th Avenue Line. The terminus for 1 trains, which travel the entire length of the island - and borough - of Manhattan, South Ferry is logically both the southernmost station on the island and also the terminal for the Staten Island Ferry.
