Remarks & Notes
A New England Winter Scene. Saturday, February 25, 2023 when Webb Rail's former Union Pacific Railroad Budd built Pullman 10-6 "Pacific Union" (WEBX 800640) and former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) were holding the markers on Amtrak Train 54 (Vermonter) when it stopped in Randolph, Vermont. The station was built by the Central Vermont Railway in 1877, ultimately serving its passenger trains until 1966 and later being rebuilt to serve Amtrak customers. The building is well complemented by other older brick structures in the area. The Town of Randolph (population was 4,774 at the 2020 census) is the largest town in Orange County, and is named for Edmund Jennings Randolph, a Founding Father of The United States and the first Attorney General. A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
