Old U.S. Highway 10 through Greycliff, Montana, is empty on the rainy afternoon of October 3, 2005. An outdated general store is as empty as the old road, closed up long ago. However, Montana Rail Link’s main line through town is just as busy as ever, as MRL’s LM manifest freight rolls into Greycliff siding for a meet. Powering the westbound train operating from Laurel to Missoula is MRL F45 No. 390 and SD40 No. 215.
