Push-Pull Central Railway Rajdhani
Central Railway's prestigious Rajdhani express works with Push-Pull configuration. This 22221 Rajdhani express to Nizamudin has a similar WAP-7 locomotive at the other end. Both the locomotives work simultaneously and are controlled by crew in driving cab. With working locomotives at both ends, the train accelerates faster and does not need additional pushing locomotives while passing through Thull ghat section thus saving time of attaching an detaching such pushers. Location: Platform No. 18, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai. 4th February 2023. Here the train with push-pull technology waits on platform no.18.
