This was one of eight SW1200RS's assigned to the Dominion Atlantic Railway, CPR's subsidiary in Nova Scotia. For a brief period it was working as one of three switchers at the Glen Yard, the Montreal coach yard. Most likely, after being serviced at the Angus Shops or the St. Luc diesel shop it was being tested before returning to the DAR.
