January 3, 1982 finds two Penn Central E8As in Elizabethport NJ, possibly being used as parts sources, or just being left to rot. PC 4321 (with multiple worms in love on the nose) and PC 4270, with Pennsy maroon coming through, sit with some barrels of oil and a tractor. Searching the internet, 4270 seemed to still exist five years later, in 1987 (which I find surprising).
