Between Here And There. On the late afternoon of April 14, 2022, as Webb Rail's former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built Pullman dome 313 (WEBX 801044), former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built dome/coach 549 (WEBX 801045), and former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) were on the rear of the Amtrak Southwest Chief (Train 4). The train is about to cross the Purgatoire River, oddly for this area dominated by Spanish culture a French name meaning "purgatory". Although this area seems desolate and isolated, in reality it is only a few miles from Interstate 25 and Trinidad, Colorado.
