Long Island Rail Road Budd M3 9848 hangs in the air as a specialty flatcar is pushed under it as seen from the cannibalized cab of 9773 at Maspeth Yard in Queens, NY. Once the flatcar is completely under, the car body is lowered and secured for transport.

On the morning of April 24th, 2022, six M3 railcars (9847/9848, 9773/9774 & 9813/9814) were placed onto the Navy Lead in Maspeth Yard (Nicholls Siding) where they were detrucked and loaded onto flatcars by Frontier Industrial Corp for transport to Ohio for scrap.
