On the night of April 14th, 2022, Long Island Rail Road Budd M3 #9847 leads a consist of six decommissioned M3 railcars past the old freight yard office at Maspeth Ave in Queens, NY. The six cars (9847/9848,9773/9774 & 9813/9814) were shoved onto the Navy Lead in Maspeth Yard (Nicholls Siding) where they were detrucked, loaded onto flatcars and shipped to Ohio for scrap.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
