Station Stop Utica. After a mechanical failure on Amtrak Train 48 (Lake Shore Limited) near Waterloo, Indiana on the night of Saturday, December 3, 2022, Norfolk Southern 7258 (SD70ACu) was added in front of AMTK P42ACs 129 and 111. This got the train to CP 169 near Hoffmans, New York on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Needing engines that were equipped with ACSES for the remaining 25 or so miles to the Albany-Rensselaer, New York Station, Amtrak P32AC-DMs 708 and 705 (Phase III) were added to the now lengthy consist. The train is seen passing through the Utica, New York station. in the foreground is the recently repainted ADIX 2400 (ex-MNNR 313, née-GBW 313, C424, Alco, 1/1965), the newest addition to the Adirondack Railroad fleet.
