RFC at 40. The Annual Railmen for Children train is a highlight of the year for those that it serves, and this year celebrated the 40th anniversary of this train. NJ Transit employees plan and work all year to create a special environment for the attendees of this event. On Friday, December 2, 2022, this train operated from Hoboken, New Jersey to Harriman, New York via the Main Line, not for the children of employees, but selected classes of children who attend certain local schools. While on board, the children were served lunch, entertained by characters and given special gifts . This year's train also featured GP40PH-2s 4109 (CNJ heritage) and 4101 (NJDOT heritage) paired up for the first time since they were both repainted. The train is seen passing the former Erie Railroad Freight House in Suffern, New York that now serves as the Suffern Railroad Museum.
