CP Holiday Train NY. Canadian Pacific's Holiday Train returned to New York State for the first time in 3 years on Sunday, November 27, 2022. While its normally "sunset" departure from Kenwood Yard was wetter than hoped for, it is still an impressive sight to see the train travel through the Interstate 787 "canyon" in Albany, New York. CP 2246 (GP20C, EMD) has the traditional affixed flags of both the United States and Canada as it heads towards the first stop in Mechanicville, New York.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
