Waiting For The Light. On Friday, November 25, 2022, Genesee & Wyoming Inc. Connecticut Southern CSO-4 was reported by the crew as 100 cars long, causing the dispatcher to hold the train at FIELD for a pair of Amtrak "Vermonters" to pass before sending this train after being told that it would take them longer than usual to make it to their next stop. CSOR 3901 (ex-CSOR 8511, née-LMX 8511, B39-8E, GE, 11/1987) and 8530 (LMX 8530, B39-8E, GE 11/1987) lead over the Connecticut River from Enfield to Windsor Locks, Connecticut over the Warehouse Point Railroad Bridge as a narrow band of light emerged from the clouds. This bridge was originally constructed 1865-1866 and later rebuilt and double tracked 1903-1904. Since then, the second track was removed and it is presently undergoing upgrades including a replacement of its walkway.
