Burlington Northern EMD E9A No. 9922 on a BN/Metra commuter train rests for the weekend at Hill Yard in Aurora, Illinois, on the afternoon of March 15, 1992. Twenty-five former Burlington E8A and E9A were rebuilt in two groups by Morrison-Knudsen in 1973 and 1976 for service on the BN’s Chicago to Aurora commuter route.
