Washington’s Union Station can be a busy place, with Amtrak, MARC and Virginia Railway Express trains both utilizing the facility. On the left is Amtrak train 176, which has just cutoff its P42DCs (95 and 50) for ACS-64 609 in order to complete its journey from Lynchburg VA to New York City. Meanwhile, on an adjacent track, is a VRE commuter train which just arrived with MP36PH-3Cs V65 on the headend and V54 on the rear. (Washington DC – January 22, 2015)
