"Slippery Rail Season"
During Autumn Septa operates three special trains at night to combat the slippery rail conditions caused by crushed leaves. These trains are known as wash trains and spray a special Gel solution onto the track to remove the leaf residue. Wash 3 is seen at Chestnut Hill West on the former Pennsylvania Railroad getting to ready to head back west into the City. The lead cab car is half of the only surviving Arrow II married pair, acquired from NJ Transit as former NJTR 1236. The other car, number 601 (ex NJTR 1237), is used on the wire train.
