Remarks & Notes
"Midnight Blue at Hartford"

On the afternoon of October 14, 2022, Amtrak P42DC #100, painted in "Midnight Blue", leads northbound Vermonter train 56 into Hartford Union Station. The Connecticut State Capitol building is seen towering over the station in the background.

100 is one of six 50th Anniversary Commemorative Painted locomotives which features all new, one-of-a-kind paint schemes. Midnight Blue celebrates the dedication and commitment of Amtrak employees moving people around the clock and across the nation.

The successor to the Montrealer, the Vermonter runs between St. Albans, Vt., and Washington, DC. Much of the northern part of the route runs along the Connecticut and White Rivers.
