Amtrak's Operation Lifesaver P42 #203 leads a special through Fullerton Jct with former Santa Fe 4-8-4 #3751, a Superliner coach, and a Pacific Surfliner cab car in tow. Though the diesel is in the lead, 3751 is doing the work after being on display for an Amtrak safety event in Fullerton for the weekend. This is 3751's first outing in five years following its 15-year FRA rebuild. Though it is not leading this time due to awaiting PTC software, it should be able to lead on future trips.
