The moon rises over the east siding switch of Chapelle in one of the last fleeing days of these iconic signals. The 'Southern Infestation' of signals from Las Vegas to Bernal, a total of 22 individual blades are currently being swapped out to modern tri-light signals at this time (September 2022). In fact, just off to the left of the frame is the new signal box that will control the three signals at this location, and to my right are the posts to be driven into the ground that will support the new signals.
