My how you have changed..... Soo Line caboose #78 trails a northbound (timetable west) freight as it starts to descend Bryon Hill near Fond Du Lac, WI. in July of 1985. The Soo Line became the WC and is now the CN. The pole line is gone, a caboose is a rarity on a mainline freight, and the grade up Byron Hill is now double tracked. Some freights still require a helper to get up the hill though, and the view from Hwy F is as good as ever.
