The Late Nassau Tower. On August 22, 2018, New York & Atlantic Railway RS-41 passed by Nassau Tower in Mineola, New York with NYA 301 (PR20B, Progress Rail, 2016) leading while returning to Fresh Pond. In spite of preservation efforts, Nassau Tower closed on July 11th, 2020 and was demolished on September 19, 2021 to make room for the 3rd track on the MTA LIRR Mainline. This tower's functions along with many others in recent years, were centralized at the LIRR's Jamaica Center Control (JCC).
