| Wave. The last "tickets required" Transit Museum Nostalgia Special before the pandemic was commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Myrtle Avenue El between Broadway and Jay Street. Motorman Steven Davis was a passenger for a portion of the trip back to Manhattan after the 2 trains were coupled up, and grabbed the best spot in the house! For the trip, a 3-car train of elevated BUs (1407-1273-1404) was coupled to a 4-car train of R-9 subway cars (100-381-1000-1802) and brought out to the Eastern Division of the Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit (BMT). |
