Remarks & Notes
Lower Level. A WMATA Metrorail Blue Line train bound for Franconia-Springfield is seen arriving at Pentagon station, using 3000-series cars (Breda, 1984-1988). Pentagon station is one of two Metrorail stations that are split on two levels, the other being Rosslyn. This was done due to the stations' proximity to junctions where lines merge and diverge, thus allowing for the construction of flying junctions.
