| Morning sun illuminates the Mojave Desert as a westbound Z train pulls the grade up Ash Hill on main one at Klondike. Trailing the road power is the recently (cosmetically) restored Santa Fe 5704. The SD45-2 was meticulously returned to its mid-1970s appearance including a return to the striking red, white, and blue scheme used by Santa Fe to celebrate the Bicentennial in 1976. |
