| Stuffed and Mounted.
Magyar Államvasutak (MÁV, Hungarian State Railways) class V41 locomotives VF10 and VF11 are seen at Budapest Déli pályaudvar (South Station) where the pair act as stationary transformers. The locomotives sit on sections of track physically severed from the mainline network, permanently connected to the overhead catenary, providing "hotel power" to awaiting consists via the red boxes attached to the bumping posts in front of them. |
