Remarks & Notes

RPCX #316 sits on display at the Galveston Railroad Museum. This unit was never actually owned by the Santa Fe, but was painted in the Warbonnet scheme in 2011 in honor of the railroad's Texas Chief trains that ran out of the city. Along with twin engine #317, it runs occasionally on passenger excursions hosted by the museum and is used to evacuate the museum's equipment in the event of a hurricane. This photo was taken from the cab of a UP Fairbanks-Morse switcher.
