BNSF Railway Bi-Level Coach/Lounge 40, the "Fox River," seen in BNSF Officer Special O-LACSDG9-11 (Los Angeles to San Diego) was built by Pullman-Standard in 1955 as Southern Pacific gallery (commuter) coach 3703, seeing service on the commutes in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was later sold to Transcisco Tours for use on the Reno Fun Train, and then ended up as part of Burlington Northern’s office car collection, initially numbered BNA 31. It was rebuilt into a bi-level coach/lounge and, very recently (2021, I believe) had corrugated aluminum added to the sides, in an effort for the car to better blend in with the rest of the office car fleet.
