The blue hour is settling in over Sandpoint, Idaho, on the eve of February 3, 2022, as an eastbound BNSF grain empty crosses the long bridge over Lake Pend Oreille. In the foreground on the frozen shore of the lake is a miniature version (about six feet tall) Statue of Liberty looking in from the end of Liberty Pier in Sandpoint’s City Beach Park.
