| Du # 109 of association Östra Skånes Järnvägar in Kristianstads, with a charter special from Aengelholm over Hallandsåsen to Båstad Nord, entering Grevie for a crossing with a X55 (SJ3000) trainset of the SJ. The 1`C 1`locomotive with rod drive was built in 1925 by ASEA and NOHAB for the Statens Järnvägar. The train had run on a 1.3 % grade for 4955 meter. This steep and curvy section of the west coast mainline over the Hallandsåsen mountain was replaced in december 2015 by a new double track (two single bores) 8,5 kilometer long tunnel. This line here was shut down and demolished. |
