Remarks & Notes
Running at 140 km/h (87 mph) the Re 460 # 019 of the SBB was caught at 1/4000 shutter time. The locomotive has a new decoration (adhesives) for 175 years railways in Switzerland (1847 to 2022). On the left is the steamlocomotive D 1/3 # 1 "Limmat" of the first swiss railway, the so called "Spanisch-Brötli-Bahn" between Baden and Zürich, leaving a tunnel. This line of the Schweizerische Nordbahn (SNB) was opened on august 7th, 1847. On the right is an old picture of the first railway station in Zürich in 1847, painted by Johann Baptist Isenring (Swiss landscape painter, printer and the first daguerreotypist in Switzerland). The design of this locmotive was made by the austrian artist Gudrun Geiblinger and sponsored by the Roco and Fleischmann modell railway manufacturers. The locomotive was presented to the public on March 9, 2022 at the SBB's Yverdon-les-Bains industrial plant.
