A Metro-North FRA-Geometry train passes Seymour station on the afternoon of March 28, 2022. This train inspected the 27-mile branch from Devon to Waterbury and back. The former Penn Central/Amtrak Metroliner car behind the P32 locomotive is DOTX 216, which is owned by the Federal Railroad Administration. It is used to measure track gauge, alignment, and rail surfaces. On the right is the Kerite siding, which sometimes ships out cable reels on flat cars. The company is served by Pan Am Railways, but the siding on this day was occupied by a covered hopper that was donated by Metro-North to the Railroad Museum of New England in Thomaston.
