| The large barge "local" from Grand Rapids to Detroit rolls thru the west end of Lyons on the CSX Plymouth Sub. This train is rumbling along with 61x105-171 cars... 11412 tons and 9571 feet.. This train would sit for a couple hours outside of Howell after the inbound crew went dead and the dogcatch crew had to catch up. Now with a new crew, and a new train symbol (D706-D906) the train is again heading east. The CSX in Michigan seems to be a complete messed up mess 24/7 while we were out there in October 2021. This job runs one way-each day, and it got later and later each day. |
