Remarks & Notes |
A local heads through the trees and around the curves of Lake Sammamish as it heads south toward Issaquah, the end of the branch where it occasionally would visit to serve a lumber distribution yard and a Darigold creamery that produced butter. This x-NP branch used to extend from Seattle to North Bend, WA, serving Weyerhaueser Co.'s plywood and lumber operation at Snoqualmie Falls. BN had cut a deal with Milwaukee Road to use trackage rights on their line allowing abandonment of this line east of Issaquah. |
