| The KC to Shreveport freight is about to step off a ledge at MP 230. The train has been climbing over mountains grades since leaving Neosho but now will fall off a 1.1% grade for the next 4 miles into the Illinois River Valley south of Siloam Springs and into Watts. There will be a couple more heavy lifting spots, but then it will be, for the most part, down hill all the way to Heavener. |
