| Fast forty UP 8059 leads a trio of CNW SD40-2s west on a "Russian" grain train headed to a Pacific Northwest port for export. It would take 18 more years for these long time partners to merge (1995). Being a C&NW employee at the time of this photo, I personally think UP would have done well to adopt C&NW's scheme. I suspect most UP fans would not agree... |
