Remarks & Notes
Blue Sky For The Blue Leader. Amtrak 284 had an unusual leader on Saturday, February 26, 2022, as it passed under the Bear Mountain Bridge in the Town of Cortlandt, New York. Amtrak 100 (P42DC, 50th Anniversary, Midnight Blue) lead a train on the Hudson Line since having this special paint scheme applied. Empire Service here is normally the exclusive domain of P32 dual mode (third rail/diesel) engines. It would return to Albany later that night on Train 259.
