Remarks & Notes
Courtney's Office

The EBT's unique gas-electric M-1 is the only narrow gauge doodlebug still operating on its original line with its original equipment. Built by the EBT in 1926 from scaled-down Brill Model 250 plans and with parts supplied by both Brill and Westinghouse, the M-1 is probably the only Model 250 to retain its original 1980 cubic inch Brill engine (originally designed for US Navy airship use). A large reason this one-of-a-kind piece of equipement still operates is thanks to the care of Courtney Brown, who has maintained and operated the M-1 for the past two decades.
